Indeks Pembangunan Manusia (IPM) Kota Langsa Peringkat Tertinggi Kedua Tingkat Kabupaten/Kota Se-Aceh di Tahun 2023.

Pj. Walikota, Syaridin, S. Pd, M. Pd mengucap syukur atas capaian Indeks Pembangunan Manusia (IPM) Kota Langsa Tahun 2023 Lebih Tinggi dari Provinsi Aceh dan Nasional. Adapun Posisi Kota Langsa Kedua Tertinggi di bawah Kota Banda Aceh, Provinsi Aceh.

“Pada tahun 2023, Kota Langsa berhasil menempati posisi kedua sebagai daerah kabupaten/kota se-Aceh yang memiliki nilai IPM tertinggi yaitu sebesar 80,50, hasil ini menunjukkan nilai IPM Kota Langsa lebih tinggi dari nilai IPM Provinsi Aceh yang sebesar 74,70 dan juga lebih tinggi dari nilai IPM Nasional yang mencapai 74,39,” jelas Syaridin di Pendopo Walikota Langsa, Minggu (28/01/2024).

Peningkatan IPM Kota Langsa tahun 2023 terjadi pada semua dimensi, baik umur panjang dan hidup sehat, pengetahuan, maupun standar hidup yang layak. Untuk mengukur dimensi kesehatan (umur panjang dan hidup sehat), digunakan angka umur harapan hidup, selanjutnya untuk mengukur dimensi pengetahuan digunakan gabungan indikator harapan lama sekolah dan rata-rata lama sekolah. Adapun untuk mengukur dimensi hidup layak digunakan indikator kemampuan daya beli (Purchasing Power Parity) yaitu kemampuan daya beli masyarakat terhadap sejumlah kebutuhan pokok yang dilihat dari rata-rata besarnya pengeluaran per kapita sebagai pendekatan pendapatan yang mewakili capaian pembangunan untuk hidup layak.

“Pemerintah Kota Langsa bersama-sama para stakeholder akan terus berupaya meningkatkan kinerja pembangunan khususnya yang berkaitan dengan peningkatan nilai-nilai seluruh dimensi-dimensi yang berhubungan pencapaian nilai IPM,” tegas Syaridin.

Sementara itu, Kepala Bappeda Kota Langsa, Muhammad Darfian, ST, M.AP menjelaskan “Indeks Pembangunan Indeks Pembangunan Manusia atau Human Development Index (HDI) digunakan untuk mengukur keberhasilan atau kinerja (performance) suatu negara atau daerah dalam bidang pembangunan manusia. Peningkatan IPM sebagai manifestasi pembangunan manusia dapat ditafsirkan sebagai suatu keberhasilan dalam meningkatkan kemampuan dalam memperluas pilihan-pilihan, sehingga angka IPM sangat diperlukan dan memiliki nilai strategis dalam evaluasi dan perencanaan pembangunan regional,” tutupnya.
